Get to know me!

My name is Scott, and I have taken the plunge into building my own woodworking career beginning in late 2023. A Cut Above Boardworks is my brand that I sell cutting boards and other similar goods under. Future goals include furniture and cabinetry, but I wanted to focus on solid fundamentals while I built my brand. I made my first charcuterie board in Dec 2023, and began selling them at local events in the summer of '24. As I grew my skillset, my product line changed, but until March of '26, none of my work was available online.

My personal hobbies include cycling, downhill skiing, golf, and attending local sporting events. We have a phenomenal junior league hockey team (Go 'Clones!) and a summer collegiate baseball team (Go 'Chucks!) that we love to watch.

I am currently engaged to the love of my life, Chelsea, and we live in Wausau, Wisconsin with our two cats, Lorna and Smokey. We plan to get married in August of '26. Chelsea's support is a large part of what allows this business to function.
